Young People today are often portrayed in a negative manner. We
want to challenge this view and empower young people to be role
models for other young people.
We developed our youth trainer award to give young
people the skills and knowledge to be able to teach other young
people how to stay safe, be healthy and go green
83% of young people today would rather ask a friend
for advice than an adult, parent or teacher.
We are training young people to give the right
types of advice and guidance. But its more than just talking its
about taking action. As a qualified youth trainer these young people
are now working in schools and youth clubs to enable other young
people with key skills for life. They are positive role models for
other young people and their communities.
At the present time their are three areas in which
young people can become qualified trainers. Stay safe, Be Healthy
and Go Green (Manage your carbon footprint).
During the course the youth trainers are taught
how to teach the subject area, how the subject matter effects young
people and where to refer young people for support and advice. We
help them to develop effective presentation and interpersonal skills,
building their self confidence, listening skills and peer mentoring
abilities .
Each subject area is supported by external specialists
such as the Police and NSPCC and the young people work with them
to understand how to support other young people. The course also
teaches leadership and team building skills through an overnight
camp and outward bound challenge.
Our vision is for every school to have qualified
youth trainers to support other pupils and enable them to stay safe,
be healthy and go green.
Charity Youth Trainers are young people who are
trained to help you deliver your charities objectives. Using our
level 2 trainer award we will work with you to train your young
people to make a difference. This could be teaching young people
about how to manage money, how to save the planets scare resources
or how to support play schemes. What ever your objectives we can
help with accredited training.

if you would like your young people to participate in training please
